Christmas all around us and because it’s the season to make Christmas plans, we have a list of events that you may want to check out. From the classic illuminations to the Christmas markets, and experience-based games – here are the 5 hot events we recommend.

Place: Roppongi Hills O-yane Plaza

Did you know that it’s the 13th year for the Roppongi Christmas Market? What’s worth your attention is the variety of over 2,000 German Christmas goods and the many booths – where you can enjoy the authentic German dishes. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it’s open until 22:00pm so you can stop by at the end of the day or after work.

2. Blue Cave Illumination in SHIBUYA

Location: Shibuya Koen Street tp Yoyogi Park Keyaki-Namiki Illumination

Illumination Time: 17:00 ~ 22:00

The Blue Cave Illumination’s popularity has just kept growing since it’s start by Meguro river in 2014. It’s back again this year with 600,000 blue LED lights, lighting all the way up from Shibuya Koen Street to Yoyogi Koen Street. As for Shibuya Koen Street, it will be lit up until Tuesday the 14th of January next year. This year they have a special limited pop-up store appearing in Yoyogi Park. They’ll be selling blue sparkling wine and blue hot lemonade that matches its magical world.

3. Midtown Christmas 2019

Date: November 14 Thursday – December 25 Thursday

Location: Tokyo Roppongi area is full of Christmas illuminations

At Roppongi Midtown, they have many events for this holiday season. Standing out among them is the “Star Light Garden” that covers all the grassed area outside. This illumination, displaying the majestic cosmic space, will have soap bubbles in the air for a limited time until Wednesday the 18th of December. It’s great to get away from the bustle of the city to enjoy the magical atmosphere with someone you love.

4. Christmas Events hosted by Lifehouse International Church in Tokyo

Date: December 8th,15th, 22nd and 24th Sundays

Place: Belle salle Roppongi (Only December 8 at Belle salle Shiodome)

At Lifehouse International Church in Tokyo, Roppongi, they have variations of Christmas events, starting from Christmas services. A photo booth with Santa (that kids would love), Christmas lunch, listening to and singing Christmas carols and so much more! Why not enjoy Christmas at church this year? Location: Subway All Tokyo Metro Line

If you want to explore all over Tokyo, this is for you! You get to solve puzzle game while walking through the streets of Tokyo. So far, 208,000 have joined the hands on puzzle-solving game. With a “Puzzle-solving Kit” in one hand and an “Unlimited ride ticket for Tokyo metro line” on the other, you’ll be solving the hidden mystery throughout the city of Tokyo. It’s also great that you can take this challenge with as many people you’d like. Because it’s Christmas season, this may be an opportunity for you to meet some new faces in Tokyo.
